W2k PRO SPDIF/Dolby Digital/A3d/EaX support!

This is a discussion about W2k PRO SPDIF/Dolby Digital/A3d/EaX support! in the Customization Tweaking category; does w2k support that? will it be available later? where i can download fixes if available? is there anything in MS knowledge DB about it?

then why do I get S/PDIF grayed out in windvd and power dvd?

perhaps that's because you're using a OEM version of these software.
 
try DVDgenie. it can enable those greyed-out entries in both DVD players.
 
sometimes they don't display the correct options selected but it should work anyway if your soundcard drivers support it

it would depend on your hardware. i only know about teh SBLive, EAX and A3D 1.0 is supported, im sure the a3d cards support a3d2 fine in win2k. ac3/spdif is *NOT* supported by creative drivers.
