Building a Thunderbird

Hi I just wanted to get everyones recommendations on what MB and processor to get. I was thinking about getting a Abit KT7-Raid and a 1ghz thunderbird. also would be a HSF combo for this? Thanks.

SimCity 2000 - WinNT 4 (Sp6a)

Heeerlp! SimCity2k runs FINE on WinNT4 but for one problem. When ever a different user goes to run the game other than the person who installed it. It says that it can't run because it's not registered properly and needs to be re-installed.

I want to limit my bandwidth.. but how???

I'm running a server and I don't people to be able to download any faster than 40kb/s in total for all users together. I'm running on port 5500 and I want somehow limit the bandwidth for that port. I'm running Windows 2000 Professional.

Ok 1 question - is there any difference between the SB Live Player 1024 and the SB Live Player 5. 1 The creative website says your card will never become obsolete since any new revelations will be providied by new Liveware but how can the provide a dolby Digital Decoder with a software update??? Quake 3 stuck at 60hz refreshrate..?

Ok, my friend has just installed win2k and while everything is hunky-dory on the desktop, as soon as he goes into Quake 3 - the refresh rate goes to 60hz. . he has a Geforce 1 + Nvidia 6. 47 drivers (same happens with latest non-beta drivers).

When you download a file with Internet Explorer. . . and you specify the directory you want to save it to. . . why doesn't it save it directly to that directory? Instead it downloads it to some mysterious place on my hard drive (if anybody knows where,please tell me!) and then it copies the file over to the directo ...

I have a partial Office 2000 installation (Access, Excel, FrontPage) on my notebook running under Windows 2000 Professional, SP1. I noted on the top page of ntcompatible today that SP2 (Note that it's not SR-2, it's SP2) for Office 2000 has been released.

For gaming. . . well, i have tried that, and 3 of my games, i need to reinstall to work under the poweruser account. pretty dumbif you ask me. I figured the registry would have transfered to the new account.

Hi I was wondering if there is any difference in resources, performance and so on, depending on what you log on win2kpro as? If I log in with my administrator, and play games like quake2 and so on, is there any difference if I use another form of user, such as poweruser och normal user? Is there any such difference?
