System crash while playing Games using 3d acc.

Hi, I have some probs with playing games under Win2K, every time I start a game that uses Direct3D or OpenGL the system compeltly crashs after some time (around 10 - 30mins), when the card is running in 2D (eg normal use) it runs smooth with anyproblems, I tryed severl drivers (ELSA drivers, Reference driver 6.

what is is with this stuff?? If I boot with 16 bit color I can see the drop shadows but there is no alpha blending on the icons. If I then change to 32 bit I get back the alphablending on the icons. Now, if I restart again and it boots with 32 bit colors the icons are alphablended but the drop shadows are gone! And ...

i have a guillemot ferrari force feedback wheel and when i try to use it in 1nsane it want, i try to make the settings but everytime i press enter to make my wheel for right/left turning for ex, it say Release all controls!.

I once backed up my entire C: and D: drives, including the system state and registry. . . . EVERYTHING. I did this under the notion that I could re-install Windows 2000, then just restore the backup.

It's a Beta OS, don't expect everything to work! I've seen a lot of people saying this lately, and as far as I'm concerned, it's just giving up. When people ask a question, they're not asking for the official, os-supported way for something to work.

When I made a bat file for UT(unrealtournament), I had 20 fps more, then without the file. I've got a Intellimouse explorer and I have to install the drivers, if I wanted to use the the side buttons.

halflife/tfc runs good but very dark

i got everything to run great on win2000 and it is the best op sys i have used yet. the only problem so far is hl/teamfortress classic is very dark even with the monitor brightness and contrast all the way up.
