Win2k and Grim Fandango and Starship Titanic

Hi, Has anyone had any luck getting either Grim Fandango (Lucas Arts) or Starship Titanic to work on Win2k? Grim Fandango keeps asking for DirectX 6. 0 and offers to reinstall it, but always offers to reinstall it Starship Titanic freezes after the first screen.

Lockups/AMD patch doesnt work, HELP

Hello, I have really weird problem, coz i tried to patch darn win2k with AMD reg patch, AGP patch and via patch from MS website. But guess what, UT still freezes after 10-30 min in game. Can anyone help me with that problem, maybe im doing something wrong.

Which OS is better for Cd-Burning?

Ok, which OS is better for burning CD's, Windows 2000 or Windows ME? Speed wise which is better and which will give me the least amount of coasters? I just bought online a Plextor 10/12/32 Cd-recorder which should get here next week, now I want to know what OS to use with it.

Inefficient Whistler Coding

How many of you think that Whistler runs as fast as Window 2000 on your same machines with the burden of new themes/stuff. . . Do you feel that Whistler/Windows coding is inefficient? Or Microsoft is adding tons of code without optimizing it.

Quake III problems on Win2000

Having problems running Quake III Arena under Win2000 (worked ok under Win98). Trying to run in single-player mode. Select 'Fight'. I get the message Loading Q3DM0, connecting to localhost. Press Esc to abort.
