The file name is devldr32. exe and it massively slows down the startup process. (by 8-10 seconds!!!) I took the file out and put it in my desktop. added 256 megs of ram now computer periodiclly reboots

After adding 256 megs of PC133RAM with my 128mPC100 my computer will reboot spontaneuosly, i have crash dumps disabled so i dont get the blue screen when it would dump the memory. Anyway I just want to know if there is a solution to this problem at all that anyone knows of.

Which is better on a 30G HD: 2 or 15 partitions?

I am a gamer and want to know if hard drive access will be better if i split my 30G hd into, say: 5- 6G partitions or 15- 2G partitions or 1- 2G for windows 1- 500M for swap 1- 27. 5G for apps and games I think you see where i am going.

Questions about MSDN and TECH-NET?

Does anyone know for sure if you can get the latest Windows XP betas by signing up with one of these services. I saw beta 1 on subsciber downloads on MSDN a couple of months ago, but now it's gone. How about Tech-Net? I can't seem to find anything whistler related on the Tech-Net site.

Windows Whistler 2416 Question

I was trying to install WinWhistle 2416 and ran into a problem. I managed to get setup to copy the temp files to my hard drive, but on the reboot, setup continued to load and then stalled. The message displayed when it stalled was 'Setup is Starting Windows Whistler.

Mornin/Afternoon/Evenin all. . . (depends on your point of view really) I see that Netscape has updated to version 6. 01. . . . . anyone had a chance to try this yet? (I'm in work at the moment so I can't) Are there any major changes or does it fix some of the issues with the last version? Thanks for any input.

I just purchased a Technet Plus subscription so that I can get the Windows XP betas. My question is. . . now that I've ordered this, how do I get my copy of Whistler? Do I have to wait for my DVD to arrive, or is there somewhere I can go to download it? Thanks Jeff Knight.

I can feel the speed difference of my IBM 75GXP. It's really slower than in winME. Even by installing the latest promise driver, it didn't help. Sisoft sandra shows c: (winME) at 22000+ score and e: (win2k) 12000+.

Will Win2K run faster if i put it on its own hard drive alon

i have a 7G and new 30G hard drive. Someone said in the past to put my os on one hard drive all by its self and put all my program files on another and my computer will scream. Has anybody heard of this? I need to know if I need to put the hard drives on seperate ide cables or put them on the same? ant truth to this?.
