Error Message with whistler 2428--HELP

when I start my setup of whistler i get this message Windows whistler setup cannot detect the version of windows you are currently running. Step up cannot continue. My version is Windows ME 4. 90. 3000 (upgraded from Win98 to Windows ME) Does anyone know why i get this message.

Cheating the Installshield setup program

Does anyone know if there's a way to make the Installshield setup program think the program is being installed to w9x instead of W2K? Most W95-games are installed with this program and 95% of them complain about the OS not being W95.

Status bar in IE and explorer

My status bar seems to have disapeared in internet explorer and windows explorer. By status bar i mean the part at the bottom of the window that tells you what link you are hovering over and what is getting downloaded and whatnot.

Unexpected Lock-ups in Win2k....plz read..

Okay, i am stumped. I have this machine at work that locks up about 5 times a day. At first, i thought it might be heat, so i ordered a sh*t load of cooling for it. The temperature on the machine is about 50 degrees celsius after i installed the cooling.

As far as Win2K and gaming go, I am quite satisfied with how most of my games perform as compared with Win9x with one exception. . . Logitech mouse drivers. On multiple installations of Win2K with all recent Win2K mouse drivers, I get an odd problem - I cannot have any two mouse buttons engaged at the same time.

Hallo leute hab ein problem mit meinem windows 2000 mein system bootet sogar in windows ca alle 20min. denke es könnte an grafiktreibern liegen da bei nvidia die treiber unvollständig sind. . . nvidia hat 2 dateien zum dowloaden aber bei den einen méldet er immer das dateien fehlen.
