Hi, I just purchased the public preview of Windows XP for $20, but I couldn't find a date when it would be released to the general public for testing, anyone know when microsoft intends to ship the preview which people pay for? Thanks, falcon26

I have win2k pro and i am having a problem with my 3dfx card. I cant find any drivers to do with the original voodoo. Win2k just wont see it. I downloaded the opengl files but still cant use my voodoo.

Hi! I have problems installing Live!Ware 3. 0 Have downloaded all 4 files several times. 5 secounds after I click the setup, my pc freezes. Have tried clean install of win2k, with and without ACPI, with and without SP1.

Help Me - I have a problem with the boot menu. I installed win2k on another drive and then it cocked up so i decided to install it on my C: drive alongside winme. But i noticed that the boot menu still has the option to boot to the old win2k installation.

Greetings: I have installed Whistler Beta 2 and added to more users in addition to the Admin and guest accounts, four total. Admin, user1, user2 and guest. When I logged off back to the login screen my Admin account is not showing now.

1. This may be an nVidia problem, or an XP one. . . But I can use PowerDVD (I've used 2. 55 and 3. 0), watch a DVD. . . But the moment I shut it down, I don't get a BSOD. . . It just restarts the system.

Hi! I have an Voodoo Banshee 16mb AGP, and i can't play under Win 2000, i tried a driver what i'm dowloaded from here, it's working, and some game runs with it, but not mutch(and what i really want is not running ( ) I had an Geforce1 256 32mb DRR for a few days, and with the newest detonator every game ran very fine.

I am trying to set up a supermicro-p6-dbs motherboard and the devices in my PCI bus wont do their thing. . . . ie the Abit ATA/100 Raid controller I have in there wont post up and scan the IDE bus. .

i have a 45 gig diamond max 7200 rpm ATA 100 and 8. 7 ms maxtor HD got a abit k7a raid mobo btw and got the HD on ide 3 but its not using you know like raid its just using it as another ide channel.

In win2k i use 7. 17 and divx movies play fine. I use the same driver set in wniXP beta2 and the divx playback is somewhat choppy. Anyone eXPerience anything similair ?! In the year of our Lord 1314, patriots of Scotland, starving and outnumbered, charged the fields at Bannockburn.

Using Build 2462, I have these 2 problems/nuisances: - everytime I pop in a blank cd, it'll open up a new browser for the drive (I'm guessing it has to do with auto-insert notification, but I can't find where to turn it off) - IE will occassionally forget of the toolbars
