I am trying to set up a supermicro-p6-dbs motherboard and the devices in my PCI bus wont do their thing....ie the Abit ATA/100 Raid controller I have in there wont post up and scan the IDE bus....what is wrong with it. I've been through the cmos about 100000 tiumes and I cant figure out what I need to do. Also, the ethernet card wont say "Press control-S to enter setup" or whatever it says. It just goes through the standard bios crap, then tries to load to the OS. Help me

try taking all cards off your pci bus except the raid and video(if its pci), and then try booting to see if it starts..may be a conflict with another card..and if that doesnt work try a different slot.check hardrive connections to make sure they are attached properly.you have probably already tried this

I've tried absolutley everything. This bios, however, i am unfamiliar with. its ami's winbios. Does anyone out there with it know of anything special in there i need to set? I've tried various jumpers etc everywhere and nothing works.
