OK. . . . heres the deal. I have purchased an IWILL RAID card thats ata100. I have 2 30 gig maxtor 7200rpm ata100 drives. Upon installing i create the array and start win2k install. I install the highpoint drivers when win2k asks and everything runs just fine.

Hl. exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the progam. An error log is being generated. I have directx 8 and sp2 installed. LOL JUST REINSTALLED SP2 NOW HL IS SAYING IT REQUIRES SP3 OR HIGHER I JUST LOVE PC'S Pc is athlon 750 k7m mb 256mb ram mx 300 soundcard asus 6800 delux.

I'm new at Win2K & I say it rocks. My only problem is EAX in games. For some reason games sound weird in Win2K, in WinME I could hear the voices in the game Alice & when I shot the shock rifle in Unreal Tournament.

Ok here is the question. I am comfortable with Win2kPro and 9x/ME. What XP should I get Pro or Home. I am a home user but there are some things that I like to tinker with in 2kPro. I really don't need the multi-processor support of the Pro versions.

It used to be running on my system after bootup, but after UltraHLE crashed on me today, I had to soft reboot and now it is not loaded. Strange. Any ideas. .

I am running Windows 2000 professional. I have Internet explorer 5. 5 installed. My problem is that the. exe files of my favourite games, heroes3. exe and ctp2. exe do not work. When I click them I get an error message saying 'heroes3.

Does anyone have OpenGl (and Glide) working with XP 2481 (2474 too)???? I tried the latest drivers (offical or not)for my Voodoo5, and it doesn't work (and yes, i did the install-it-twice trick) DirectX is working.
Removing 2000-pro systray icons

Just loaded 2000-pro for the first time. Real steep learning curve at this end. My first question is, How do you prevent programs from loading icons into the systray? In Win98Se, I could disable the icon-load from within msconfig.

I have this aweful and annoying problem playing games in Win2k, here is the scenario. . . I buy Win2k, and install it with NTFS system. I start installing my games that I play regularly, everything is great.

I just installed Win2K pro and Im not as familiar with it as Im with 9x. Soon after I got the drivers and accounts setup I went on to test out DVD playback. It is horrible. Both the video and sound are choppy to the point where the DVD is unwatchable.

Two questions. #1, is there anyway to get Need for Speed SE working on Win2k? I seriously doubt it, but thought I'd ask. #2, Need for Speed II does something that's very, very strange and very maddening.
