just curious, is this just a win2k(nt?) 'feature', but when i browse the network and access a machines list of shares, it takes a notibly long time to get a responce. iv reinstalled windows a number of times on both machines, and yet refreshing/loading either are slow.

If you do and your running win2k do you get that Game host has to much latency error or something like that. If Im lucky I get on 5% of the games. I have to logoff and rejoin battlenet about 10 times and then if Im lucky Ill get a game.

3D Mark 2k1 Refresh Rate

Hi Guys, I am using Detonator 4 official. I have set my refresh from registry to 85 for my NV11. Every games works fine @ 85, but 3D Mark 2k1 doesn't work. It switches the refresh rate back to 60. Any ideas? I have also overrided the directdraw refresh rate in dxdiag.

Ok here is the situation, maybe you can be of some help. I go to add, delete, or modify files in a folder right. Then say I want to rename the folder, delete it, or what ever. It says I can't do it because of sharing violation.

Just installed detonator 20. 81 driver into win2000 system for a asus geforce 2 ultra and i keep getting a directx cannot do error OUT of MEMORY. . Mainly when i run 3dmark2001 it happens after about 2 minuits.

Sorry not sure where to put this so appologies if its in the wrong forum. I currently have a voodoo 3 3500 and plan on getting the Gold version of XP ASAP (currently have RC1) I know the V3 isn't supported so I will need a new card, however money is tight.

As far as I know, this is something to do with MS speech engine, so i guess it's related to officeXP in some way. My problem is that if I close if, everytime I open up internet explorer or an office app, the nasty little (I say little, 30meg is really HUGE) program loads and slows my PC down rather horribly.

I was having probs w/ my win2k installation so I installed winxp 2600. It was aight, but I was still seeing probs so I copied important files to my D drive, formated my C, and reinstalled XP from scratch.
