Does anyone know how to get Visual studio 6 working under XP ? I know beta 2 of visual studio. net works but for some compatibility issues I need V6 on my system. It hangs during setup. Anyone successfully installed it ?.

Ok, so I have my win2k box setup with FTP software. Using the D-LINK DI-704 for shared DSL, I configured it so I have port access for port 21. My roomate is attached to the switch. His is in the same workgroup/IP and he has a 'shared' folder that I can see from my computer.

I'm using Win2k SP2 and IE6. Sometimes I experience lock-up when browsing the web. It seems to be certain pages that causes this problem. It doesn't lock-up everytime but frequently. I don't remember having this problem with older versions of IE so it could just be a problem with the web pages.

Ok this thread should be where people give in feedback on their own strategies to imprive Windows XP Profssional's responsiveness. Of coarse, it would be great if you could keep in mind that some of us (ME especially) are running it on slow machines like dual pentium pro 200/256MB RAm.
