OC Workbench has posted a review on the Shuttle AV40R motherboard. Shuttle has made in roads to the Athlon boards with it´s award winning AK31 rev 2. 0. To date, Intel has only introduced Brookdale (i845) which does paralysed the P4 system performance with bundling it with SDRAM.

I used to use Windows 2000 and had it set up to use my two desktop speakers, plus the two sony speakers I have connected thru a reciever. Now no matter what layout of speakers for Windows XP, it only plays the desktop speakers and nothing else.

is something I really miss, since I migrated to win2k. I had hoped that things would be different with windows xp, but unfortunately they are still the same. . . . does anyone have an idea, if there is something like quickres from the old powertoys is floating around for xp?.

RAID setup question

I am going to be getting a RAID motherboard and was wondering if I could do this: Right now I have a 13GB WD 5400RPM drive. Can I buy 1 more 13GB drive that is 7200RPM and run them together? Or do the drives have to be exactly the same? If not, would I be better saving the money and just buying one more 5400RPM 13G ...
