Can anyone tell me what's the difference between Windows XP BuiltIn PPPoE driver and RasPPPoE driver? Does RasPPPoE works better? Why? Shuld I try to install it? Okay thanks for everything. . . .

Disk Checker Question for XP

Hello all, Is there any Disk Checker/Fixer software that can actually fix disk errors without rebooting or simply asking me to run chkdsk /f? I have used Norton and Ontrack SystemSuite, and both, when they find a disk error, tell you to run the chkdsk command in Windows to repair it.

Im planning on selling my VIA/Athlon setup and build me a P4 system. I want to go for the P4 1. 6 GHz Northwood, it can easily be taken to 2. 2 GHz and stable. The problem now is the motherboard, I'm really in a dilema.

Hello there. . . Whenever my Explorer or Internet Explorer stops responding, I kill it and run it again. Then everything works okay, but I am missing some of my Tray Icons, for example Norton Antivirus' Autoprotect icon.

Anytime I reach a website that I can't reach for whatever reason, busy, offline or whatever IE forwards me to instead of giving me the server not found message. Anybody else get this problem, sounds strange but its driving me nuts.

Asus A7V266-E any good?

Please let me know your experiences, good or bad ones, about the Asus A7V266-E Mainboard, especially if it has similar / same problems with data corruption as boards with KT133A / 686b Chipsets. I want to kick out my Abit KT7A-Raid (with the bugged 686b Southbridge) and replace it with the Asus A7V266-E.

voodoo2 on win2000

I seem to have a very common problem with the voodoo2 card on win2000. I've searched the forum, and found some similar problems, but no solutions that works. I have a voodoo2 card of unknown brand (which have worked very well in windows98/me with the reference drivers), so there's nothing wrong with the card itself.

Having serious problems with ATI All In Wonder 128 on Win2k SP2. System freezes while watching TV after just a few minutes. System will freeze after a few hours while not watching TV. Temps all ok. Has anyone had success with this card? Have all the latest drivers & ATI software.

I just installed XPee to give it a try and discovered it's purdy nice I was looking in the Task Manager and seen several instences of SVCHOST. EXE running, I took a screenie, maybe someone can tell me why as I dont rember seeing this in 2k.

I have been erased the file boot. ini I have one that works, but it doesn't show the windows 98 that I have in the extended partition D: somebody has a boot. ini that can send me? this has to have two systems for the boot: XP/9x Thank you.
