c drive scheduled for chkdsk almost every reboot

I try to run diskeeper 90% of the time, it says chkdsk is scheduled to run on the drive. I reboot and let chkdsk do its work and it reboots again and im back in windows. I try to run diskeeper again, and it says chkdsk is scheduled to run on the drive.

nothing but k's across my screen on bootup

just tonight while trying to boot my pc, I got a green screen filled with the letter K. It happens right after bios completes and as windows is about to load. It happened with 2 different hard drives, one win2000 the other winxp.

Is there any way i can disable the stupid send error report window? It's not like they are going to do anything, and its just a hassle to click another no button every time something crashes (which is a lot for me =]).

120GB harddrive woes

I bought the Western Digital 120GB w/8MB cache recently. The bios on my ASUS P2B motherboard (yes I know it's old to still use Pentium 2 mobo) wouldn't recognize the drive even though it supports the ATA100 interface.

G'day, I installed XP Pro a few months ago, apart from hardware/game incompatibilities, it's not 'too' bad. Because I've got alot've games that won't run under XP, I decided to install 98 on the system aswell, nothing flashy, just using the standard Dual Boot configuration.

A friend of mine has just bought themselfs a new Athlon XP system, but it keeps locking up (no BSoDs, no resets). I don't know the full spec. of the machine itself, but am I right in thinking that machines only lock-up like that when they overheat? GTA1 speed problems

Has anyone been able to get GTA1 to run smoothly in win2k pro? At any res I run it keeps on slowing down sometimes. Obviously it is not my computer since I run a AthlonXP 1700+ with a Geforce2 and I've tried it with the same results on a P3 600Mhz win2k system.

Hi. I have Gigabyte GA-7VTXE. And computer doesn't run properly. After first screen (proc,mem, and so on) i see only white Vertical Lines. WindowsXP probably runnihg, but i see the same Vertical lines, but colored.

Morning all! Worst case scenario here. I am in desperarte need of a router with DHCP and V-LAN capability. Emergency situation where my CISCO router has died. I have now setup a Win2K Adv. Svr box to temporarily route with DHCP.
