Has NE1 successfully setup up the USB and Firewire drivers under W2K. I have been battling this prob for about 2 weeks and with NO support from CPQ at all. I would apprec. any info on this prob outside of not installing W2K.

I have an XP box and everything worked fine for a while (always the case with new OSes). But now Windows Update will not work right. I connect and it either says I need a new version of WU or it scans the systems, locates updates and downloads them.

I've got a problem With my Media Player. . . . If I open a window with audio in it - eg my mp3 folder and double click then theres no problem - Media Player pops and plays the file. If - on the other hand - I try to open a file from Media Player it immidiately locks up and hangs untill I terminate it from task manager.

I was told by someone that they fixed the game problems with Windows XP, by deleting the windows directory, deleteing msdos. sys and all of those that are in C:\ then install DOS, then immediately install Windows XP after that.

Yeah, it was me. The manufacturning techniques and quality of Aluminum have now made it to Copper in this department. I am just too lazy to find something for my 1. 6GHz Northwood (running at 2. 4GHz), since it has been working at close to stock temps anyway (30*C-45*C) with the stock Intel HSF.

I was working my quick cam express (Logitech item )under win 98 and i updated my pc to win 2000. I 've downloaded the update software from logitech and istalled it. The cam is well recognized by my pc and works well with netmeeting too.

I've been meaning to look into these for awhile now. For: Video capture Virtual PC/Vmware Games (fast load times) zip/unzip (instead of using my temp) Pagefile Temp drive I might buy a seperate UPS just for it.
