Command & Conquer: Red Alert Little loves please help. . . . . . . Done the appupd fix and installed ok Now get an entry level kernal32. dll error when trying to run from windows icon. Can run from DOS but dont have any sound, pah !!! Cheers Andy -x-x-x-.

Hey guys i really need help with this one. okay so I decided to save my girlfriends mom a couple of bucks by clearing all her memory and reloading (it is old so bear with me) win 95. Everything went well until the next day when I found out her soundcard wasn't working.

how do i get fifa99 to work on windows xp

hi, am trying to run fifa99, the full game on windows xp, but not showed up, even when i tried double clicking on it. i also tried running it in different compability modes, still nothing showed up. so i moved to plan b, by trying the demo version, and guess what, i worked fine in compability mode.

I installed WIN2k AS, as a 2nd OS, and ended up having to r repair winXP, now I need to change the settings to have win2k as the default OS, and I also want to lower the login to default time to about 10 seconds.

I prefer tiny personal firewall. I used zonealarm ages ago but didn't like it, can't remember why now. . . doh But i always advise friends and clients to go with tiny.

I have a friend who has an ASUS-7700 Geforce 2 GTS Deluxe in a Pentium III. The CPU should be working at 800 Mhz, the top speed that both board and processor should take. However, since he has an ASUS MB that allows overclocking, his CPU current speed is 866 Mhz.

When I downloaded the latest drivers for my ati aiw 8500, on reboot XP insisted on initializing the new hardware found wizard and despite canceling out of it, the previous display drivers were apparently reinstalled.

I'm planning on doing some driver development involving a parallel port device. I'll be developing Win9x, Win(NT,2k,XP) and Linux drivers (possibly also BSD and HURD, will look into this). What I'm after is any information that may help me write the Win2k drivers.

Do I need ACPI with XP?

Is ACPI really necessary under XP for a desktop setup. I have disabled all the power management features for my PC anyway. I never leave it running if I am not using it. My only concern is powering down the PC without using the power button on the front.

Anyone tried this one? It will play, but the mouse is very jerking. Since this game has a lot of micromanagement,it can not stand extra work for the mouse. I tried QFixApp, but noting seemed to change.

Odd Windows 2000 instability problems!

OK this is *really* strange. My computer with it's current hardware is about a year and a half old now. I have an Athlon 1. 2ghz with 512MB RAM, TNT2 vid. card running latest nVidia drivers, running Windows 2000 with SP2 & all other updates applied.
