Just deleted the My Computer icon from my desktop. . . yea I know, trust me I've already kicked myself :x. I can restore a shortcut that gives me most of the functionality, but how do I restore the original, other than rebuilding the profile in WindowsXP pro? ;( ;(.

Strange problem with Ipsec VPN setup ! Plz look !

I've got a strange problem with an IPsec based VPN tunnel. In one end the tunnel is terminated in a Zywall 10 which has a NT4 network behind it. The remote end of the tunnel is terminated in a Zywall 1 which has a single WinXP Pro client.

Hi X-com sometimes crashes in tactical mode, this always happens at the same time e. g. when a soldier stands on the door of the landings craft, he can walk over it without a problem and going up a lift also crashes the game, and there are more ways to crash a game.

Is win 2K pro compatible with Proxy server on NT4 sever

Am struggling to connect a W2K workstation to the internet via the office LAN and NT4 server. Server is NT4 SP6 running SBS v4, all other workstations are NT4 sp6 and use Microsoft Proxy client via the Proxy server through SBS and work fine.

You've got questions, we've got answers, or the commercial goes. I have a (wait for it) Dell PII 266 with 256 Meg of RAM and (count 'em) 2 WD Caviar 2. 1 Gig harddrives. I have been playing with booting multiple operating systems off of it, and have succeeded in getting no more than two off the ground at a time.

When I start the game I get a popup that wants me to send in a error-report to microsoft. If i choose no the game quits. And i do not want to send the report to them. The error (I copied all I was able to copy) AppName: mm7.

Trying to locate current antivirus software that supports Windows NT 4. 0. After finally bowing to convention, I'm (obviously) online, using an NT platform from a previous contractor position. The installed AV is Norton from 1997.

My InstallShield has an attitude problem

OK, what's going on here, could someone explain. When I first tried to install Thief 2 and now Acrobat Reader 5. 0 the InstallShield does come up, starts the installation up to 99% readiness and the crashes/closes.

hehe, prob a stupid ques. . . . . but could (or should) I do a dual boot of win98se and winME? I know that winME reads the ps2 port a lil faster and some other things are faster. . . . i wanna get the best of win98 and the best (without the crappy stuff) from winME.

I recently aquired a compaq evo laptop with mobility radeon 7500 grafix card, Running win2k sp2 I keep getting the overlay error when ever i try to watch dvds in windvd, ive tried all the usual screen res and colour depths but to no avail.

i have a MS Sidewinder Force feedback steering wheel and w2k pro. The sidewinder software doesn't work with w2k but i can install it in joysticks, control panel. The steering wheel works but im not sure, maybe the force feedback is not as good as win98.

Difficulties with Nortons Systemworks 2002

Anyone out there have similar problems? I loaded W2K SP3, and now when I go to defrag, I get a polite message from Nortons telling me to update speed disk because it isn't tested on SP3, with an implication that I probably should not run it.
