hi guys, i am after a program that i can install on a win2k client that limits his upload to say 6kb/sec. i have looked everywhere i can think of for a program like this. does anyone know where i can find one? OR even if one exists? thanks hardtofin.

ok, could someone tell me about the BenQ recorders. . . compatibility issues, quality, durability. . . . the thing is that a company is distribuiting 'em (48x speed)at a very cheap price (less tahn 35 dollars), well, that's really cheap in comparisson with other ones in my country (i'm not in USA).

I am running XP home edition on my P4 system. I reformatted my drive and installed XP fresh. When I boot, the splash screen is on for about 2 min, the bar is moving the entire time. Then a blank screen for about 10 sec.

It's just to say that i have installed Anno 1602 last week on my Win2000. . . And it works very well with the SP3 for Win2000. . . You don't need patch or fix for the game with the SP3. . . .

I have 3 drives set up as follows: 2X80 GIG on RAID Stripe 0 for a total of 160 gig array on that array is a 20 gig boot/os partition and a 140 gig program/game partition. I also have a 13gig on another channel that holds about 12 gigs of mp3s.

installing Windows 98 after Windows XP

What should I do to install Windows 98 on a PC that has already Windows XP on it? I have read that it would be necessary to completely clean my harddisk, then first install Windows 98 and then Windows XP, but is this absolutely necessary to get things working OK?

Can't boot from floppy

Had a new HD installed by a local computer shop. Due to a problem with an application unrelated to the HD install, I have been directed to start the system using my old Win98 Boot Disk. Currently running Win2000Pro SP-3 as my OS.

I dont know why but I feel like playing it again. . I'm running win2k english version there's 2 problem 1) No Sound 2) Everytime I'm in the main menu, a small mouse scroll will auto-close the game and prompt me back to desktop.

Exchange 2000 and POP3 question

I have an Exchange 2K server running on 2K server. Want to be able to POP3 email from outside the network. Set up POP3 on the server, as administrator i can use POP3 , but normal users cant. Its bizarre, i can telnet to the admin POP3 account etc, but as a normal user i cant.

i am linking my 2 pcs together with a hub i also want to get broadband since the modem only conencts in one pc is it possible to share the conenction or do u need another wire from the other pc or something can someone please explain how networking works aswell what if the pc with the adsl modem is off?

Limiting upload speeds in XP Pro.

I was wondering if there is a way to limit the upload speeds in XP Pro. I have a problem when sharing files if someone maxes my upload speed (16k/s) my download drops below 5k/s. Though if I don't allow my uploads to surpass 13k/s I'm fine.
