hey i get to start a new question thread. . . friend has hp pavilion laptop /w xp home. he gets an error message when he logs on now that says security policy does not allow this person to log on interactively ooops i am unfamilier with xphome so im not sure how it happened.

mpeg1 mpeg2 codec??

I'm saving some of my VHS tapes on VCD's with VirtualDub. I have some microsof codecs, divx, xvid but NO mpeg1 or mpeg2 codec. I need mpeg1 for video CD's and mpeg2 for super video cd's. I searched the web for such codecs but cannot find them.

Hello there! I am Sharing DSL Internet Connection with Windows 2000 Professional. . . And everything works fine on other Windows XP box (www, ftp,. . . ) BUT everytime I try to send out an email it timeouts the mail server.

Hi, I have office 97 installed on multiple win2k boxes. The problem I am having is that after a while of use the spell check feature stops working. Has anyone seen this before and know of a way to fix it??.

No video driver tweaking in .Net 2003?

I am running. Net 2003 Ent Server RC2 & just downloaded/installed Nvidia's 41. 09 drivers. In the Advanced > Adapter subsections of Windows Display Properties, there is no provision to adjust the OpenGl/D3D settings that I'm used to seeing.

Does Norton make XP boot take ages..?

After a fresh install, my PC (AMD 1. 4 DDR Tbird, 256 DDR, GF2 Ultra, GTXP, 28gig hdspace) will boot up, with all drivers/network set up, in about 35-45 seconds. Then when i get round to install the programs, after I install Norton AntiVirus 2003 my PC will take around four minutes to boot to a usueable state.

I now have a W2K CD with integrated SP3. Is there any way to integrate the latest version of apps & utils like Internet Explorer, Media Player or DirectX versions on a W2K CD in a similar way? ;( Best Reagrds Mattias.

After I load the Asus Live V4. 6b driver for the video capture feature it disables the VGA video driver. I get the message in Device Manager: This device cannot find enough resources that it can use.

Why doesn't XP log into NT Server

It seems there is another bug with windows xp. I am running a simple network with an NT server. My windows 98 machine has no problem logging into the NT server. But windows xp machine only see's the NT Domain Sometimes.
