3Com 3c503 NIC in Win2000?

This is a discussion about 3Com 3c503 NIC in Win2000? in the Windows Hardware category; Hi~ The NIC in my PC is an older ISA model from 3Com (3c503) and it is not detected automatically by Windows 2000 (build 2114). I checked their website, and not only are there no Win2k drivers available for my card, e-mail support is non-existant.

Hi~
The NIC in my PC is an older ISA model from 3Com (3c503) and it is not detected automatically by Windows 2000 (build 2114). I checked their website, and not only are there no Win2k drivers available for my card, e-mail support is non-existant. Does anyone else have this card working in Win2k? If not, does anyone know where I could possibly find drivers for it/how I could get it to work? Thanks! -- Dave

If it's not supported natively now, don't expect to get anything for it after release. Legacy ISA is pretty much depricated under W2K.

You'd be better off spending 20 bucks on a generic PCI 10/100 NIC than sodding around trying to get support for the one you have.
