3D Prophet DDR

This is a discussion about 3D Prophet DDR in the Windows Hardware category; I have WinNT sp6 PIII 800Mhz (dell) and a SB Live card running a 3D Prophet DDR card. My problem is when I run Half-Life in OpenGL-default mode it crashes after about a minute(needs power off) with the sound in a repeated loop.

I have WinNT sp6 PIII 800Mhz (dell) and a SB Live card running a 3D Prophet DDR card. My problem is when I run Half-Life in OpenGL-default mode it crashes after about a minute(needs power off) with the sound in a repeated loop. I have all the latest drivers. Other OpenGL applications also crash, just takes a little longer.

Has anyone else had this problem??

Before my PIII I was running a PII with the same setup minus the soundcard and it never crashed once.

Please Help...

Cheers
Woody

I also get these crashes in OpenGL games, even an OpenGL screensaver fell over, so I'd also be interested to see if anyone knows the cause.
