a problem with mechwarrior 3 pirates moon

This is a discussion about a problem with mechwarrior 3 pirates moon in the Windows Games category; using a microsoft sidewinder joystick and throtle does control motion. i was once told by a microprose technician that problem could be solved by deletig a particular file from pirates moon and replacing it with the complementary one from mechwarrior 3.
