AC-3 Passthrou with SB Live! in W2K
This is a discussion about AC-3 Passthrou with SB Live! in W2K in the Windows Hardware category; I've wrote to Creative Labs about the unsupport of AC-3 pass in LW3 for W2K. They answer me that AC-3 will support in the next release of LW, the Live!Ware 4 for Win2K. They think that LW4 will available from september/october.

I don't think that tech support knows really what is going on. Its already stated that SP1 did NOT enable passthrough possibility, and that means no AC3 out until SP2 which won't be out until january.
Gambler FEX online it has nothing to do with SP2 but more with DX8 & LW4 why LW4 well full support for Win98, Win98SE, WinME, Win2000 aka (WDM)drivers did know you can use Windows2000 (WDM)drivers on Win98 thur WinME OS how ever that apps don't install, yes sailmoon that about rigth around september/october.
