Access Denied to Add/Remove
This is a discussion about Access Denied to Add/Remove in the Windows Software category; Odd - when I first set up a new User with Admin properties they can access Add/Remove Programs and Hardware etc. Then suddenly when I try to remove a program I get: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions placed on this computer.
Odd - when I first set up a new User with Admin properties they can access Add/Remove Programs and Hardware etc. Then suddenly when I try to remove a program I get:
This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions placed on this computer. See network admin.
This is my second install of 2000 - no problems with the first. In order to remove a program I have to create a new admin account, log off as the *current* admin and log on as the newly created one. It works at first then eventually the same restriction is applied.
Any ideas would be most welcome....
