Adaptec SCSI cards & running HP 5p scanner

This is a discussion about Adaptec SCSI cards & running HP 5p scanner in the Windows Hardware category; So, I know that Hp 5p won't work with the default supplied Symbios ISA Scsi, and I know that the better way to make it work is buying an Adapted SCSI card, but my question is which model? Is 2904 or 2904CD is compatible with w2k and 5p? 2910c is very expensive.

I picked up a used Adaptec 2940AU for $100 on the AGN forum. Works better than the Symbios Logic . You can also go to hp.com and find the link to a site that has a card and cable for HP scanners for about $100. I would go with an Adaptec.
