Adding 2nd cpu...

This is a discussion about Adding 2nd cpu... in the Windows Hardware category; ok, heres the deal, i intalled win2k pro 2195 with 1 cpu installed cuz i was too lazy to fix the solder joint on my other cpu(yes i use slot 1 celerons, the REAL way to do SMP with celerons =p), i finally fixed it, plugged it in, bios detects 2 cpus fine, windows wont detect 2 cpus, i even did a reinstall and repair

It's not a resgistry hack.
 
Go to device manager, under computer you will see standard PC or something like that. Double click and get properties and select the driver tab and then update driver. Make sure you select froma lsit and show all hardware. Once here select MPS Multiprocessor PC and then reboot
 
All done.
