The voodoo 3 drivers (old & new one) has no hardware id thus some games/apps such Virtual Reality canΒ΄t find Direct3D acceleration on v3.
 
Luck for me: None of my games look for the direct3d hwid

running smooth, good image quality, good tools )

Media Player work fine here. DivX with the TV Out is great

sababa can you list your system spec & games & apps you use the most & any that run in the background like ICQ, AV thing like that.
One last thing dose the DirectX Diagnostic Tool show Direct3D Acceleration it working ?.
