alcan5wn.sys error in xp

This is a discussion about alcan5wn.sys error in xp in the Windows Hardware category; its a file used by my alcatel speedtouch usb modem i get the error also sometimes my modem just switches off. any help would be greatly appreciated. i have a: 700 mhz athlon slot a Kadoka(gateway) mobo nvidia tnt2 32mb etc.

I used to have this error with the 1.3.x drivers.
Since I have installed the 1.4 I no longer have this
problem.
