This is a discussion about Annihilator Pro Code 10 error under Win2k retail in the Windows Hardware category; After installing my annihilator pro I recieved an error message in device manager stating This device cannot start (Code 10). After installing my annihilator pro I recieved an error message in device manager stating "This device cannot start (Code 10)." This problem occurs regardless of whether I use creative's or nvidia's refrence drivers. As I'm writing this I'm stuck in 16 color VGA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Search the forum. This question has been answered 4 times in the last 10 days.
Set "Enable IRQ for VGA" in the BIOS.

OP
I hear that from a creative rep, unfortunately my Compaq's BIOS doesn't have that option to let me configure. I would rather not go back to Win98 (video was working fine)but I'm running out of options.

Shame you didn't mention that in your original post...

Anyway, the TNT and GeForce cards must have an IRQ to work under W2K, so check with Compaq for a BIOS update...

If that fails, I'll give you $20 for your card...or swap you for my G400 32Mb DH.
