Anyone having problems with openGL dropping back to software
This is a discussion about Anyone having problems with openGL dropping back to software in the Windows Hardware category; Every once and awhile, when I got to play quake2 or 3 the openGL drivers respond very slowly. This is a geforce card running at. 2fps. HORRIBLE! I asked around and my friends say that the openGL drivers dropped back to software rendering instead of utilizing the geforce.

The only way I found to get around it was to kill the installation and do a new one. That leads me to believe it might be a registry problem. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
