I am assuming that since the Vortex 2 Chipset (the chipset in Monster Sound 300) is supported by NT4 then it should be supported by W2K. Other than that the orginal chipset isn't supported at present...I had emailed a Diamond rep. and he said there were no plans for it. So if your Vortex board maker does differently your out of luck I believe.
well vortex1 is also supported under nt4.....
Like I said & say it agine in not eazy to made INF for Sound card's, I all ready tryed few time & it keep failing on me.
In case you didn't know this NT4 sound card's drivers are self registring.
Just hang in there Windows2000 will have Aureal Vortex 1, 2 support.

just a little fyi
build 2091 has buit-in support for vortex1/2 based sound cards!
if you go to win2k channels on efnet you might be lucky to get it....
