Baldur gate II problems.

This is a discussion about Baldur gate II problems. in the Windows Games category; When I have 3d acceleration turned on, I get strobing in the game. During the game, the whole screen would strobe, like a strobe light. When I turn it off, everything works fine. I'm using V2k on Win2k.

"Strobing" is most often DirectX w/Vsync off related. I recommend turning Vsync back on by default (D3D display properties for your adapter). This happened to me in Darkstone as well. Games where framerate vs. vsync (like Q3A for OpenGL) let you disable it in the game, so you can usually leave the "on by default".

OP
I found out what was causing the strobing effect. It wasn't vsync. It was enabling triple buffering in the advanced options. Wierd how it strobes. Oh well, off I go to play. Anyone play this at 1024 or higher "unsupported" res? Do you have any problems at that res?
