Best Joystick???
This is a discussion about Best Joystick??? in the Windows Games category; Ok, so DX7. 0a does not exist for WIN2K. I am still stuck with a stick (Thrustmaster top gun, game ported) that only partially works buttons that cancel each other out and a pov that the system will no recognize.
Ok, so DX7.0a does not exist for WIN2K. I am still stuck with a stick (Thrustmaster top gun, game ported) that only partially works -- buttons that cancel each other out and a pov that the system will no recognize.
Since I can not correct the problem, I will correct the joystick. What are the rest of you using for a joystick in WIN2K? Do you think it's the best and if so why?

I have this same problem.
i fixed part of it install the thrustmaster control panel for the top gun.
this control panel will not work so uninstall it from add/remove programs.
now go to your joystick control selector in windows.
know you will see the trustmaster joysticks
on the selections list.
all buttons work on my joystick and the trottle control to.
the pov still does not work.
i think this has to do with win2k you dont get the option to cal the pov when your cal'ing the joystick.
