BIG media player 7 probs

This is a discussion about BIG media player 7 probs in the Windows Software category; I installed media player 7 last night then when I reset after the instalation my pc didn't boot up again (locks up at win2k screen just over half way) luckily I had win98 installed on a dif partition and I installed win2k over that.

by deleting files cos I can't get into the add/remove becuase it wn't boot up.
Please can someone help ASAP

Did you have Adaptec EZCD 3.5c installed ? I know that WMP7 killed my setup when I had EZCD 3.5c installed and upgraded to WMP7 which comes with it's own adaptec basic burner software ....

Yea it killed mine till I renamed the dlls in the system32 dir.
but then when I boot up it goes into the setup of win2k and looks for a file thats not on my cd (NT5INF.cat)
there is a file NT5INF.ca_ but that doesn't work.
