Biostar M7MKA and win2k
This is a discussion about Biostar M7MKA and win2k in the Windows Hardware category; I just got this new motherboard. i installed it and when i went to boot win2k it frooze on the logo screen. . so i booted to safemode that worked. . i saw no errors. so i tried to reinstall win2k and it freezes EVERY time when it boots from the cd and goes to setup is starting windows 2000.

i cant figure out y this is not working...
i can boot to win98 and win2k safemode but not setup nor win2k...
so i formated and tried it agian and still a no go...
please help...

Here is the answer, you need to make sure all of your drives are not using dma mode, they need to put in pio mode only, that is the only thing i can do to make it work.
