This is a discussion about Bootdisk for win2000 pro final!! in the Windows Software category; How do i make a bootable startup disk for win2000 like the one i could make from win98 add/remove programs panel in the control panel. i don't have a bootable win2000 cd or the bootdisk program on the cd.

You can't
the best thing to do is use make a dos boot disk with cdrom drivers copy smartdrv.exe & add the line smartdrv /x to the autoexec.bat
that it.
then you need to do is this at boot up.
type <cdrom drive letter>
type <cd\i386>
type <winnt>

I think you can make yourself 4 boot disk like wint NT4
open up /bootdisk on your win2000 CD-rOm
makeboot.exe and
makebt32.exe
help you make then or you can use winimage
open up /bootdisk on your win2000 CD-rOm

The final cd of Win2k is bootable.
Set your bios to boot from cdrom.. your cd will boot up your puter.

I guest you two don't get it he download it off install "aka warez".
Yes you can make the 4 Bootdisk only if you got the folder bootdisk on the CD or can boot rigth from the CD but not those Upgrade CD.

What's the big deal?
1. Make a DOS boot disk.
2. Boot to DOS.
3. Go to \i386\Winnt.exe
4. Enjoy!
