Bypassing directx7 checks?

This is a discussion about Bypassing directx7 checks? in the Windows Games category; Hi. . . anyone found a way to bypass how some games check for DirectX6? I've tested a few games that do this (Heavygear2 for one) and it keeps saying it needs Directx6, even though Directx7 is there natively.

Hi... anyone found a way to bypass how some games check for DirectX6? I've tested a few games that do this (Heavygear2 for one) and it keeps saying it needs Directx6, even though Directx7 is there natively. Frustrating. I've tried the version fix that's on this site, but it didn't work for that game. Still thinks there's an older version. Any suggestions would be coooool.

No, there is current no solution for this. SetDX6 is only for Windows NT 4.0.
