damn, geez, one thing i noticed b4 was that if modem compression and software compression were both on if could sometimes degrade performance, and in win2k both options are defult for the modem, check all the settings and make sure that software compression is off, leave on hardware compression, if that doesnt work try the opposite. Software can usually be found in dialup settings, and hardware in modem settings..
