Can I remove icons from desktop in w2k?

This is a discussion about Can I remove icons from desktop in w2k? in the Windows Software category; In win98 I could have a nice desktop without the stupid icons My Computer, My Network Places and Recycle Bin. In win2k I can't find the same option. .

Of course you can remove this stupid icons from your desktop.
Just right-clik on your desktop, choose "web" and enable "Show web content on my active desktop" then OK. Right-click again on your desktop, move to "Active Desktop" on the top and disable "Show Desktop Icons"
