can't read memory error ???? -w2kpro final

This is a discussion about can't read memory error ???? -w2kpro final in the Windows Software category; a lot of applications in win2k seem to crash with this error, i can't even send an email it says: The instruction at 0x722274fd referenced memory at 0x07754364. The memory could not be read. CLick OK to terminate the program CLick on CANCEL to debug the program i though this was the like the illegal operation error ...

it says:
The instruction at "0x722274fd" referenced memory at "0x07754364". The memory could not be "read".
CLick OK to terminate the program
CLick on CANCEL to debug the program
i though this was the like the illegal operation error in win9x but it seems to come instead of other errors i have read about on this forum

Sound like one of DIMM or SIMM is going bad

yea but i havn't noticed anything else wrong and this only happens on certain apps at a certain time, not sort of randomly

I believe it's when the swap file is too small. It happens to me when I play UT with only 64Mb Ram, try increasing the size of your swap file to 2.5x your physical memory size. Hopefully it'll work
