cant update/refresh Counter Strike uing win2k or XP

This is a discussion about cant update/refresh Counter Strike uing win2k or XP in the Windows Games category; i installed windowsXP and as with win2k the update/refresh of game servers doent work. anyone know a fix for this?.

i installed windowsXP and as with win2k the update/refresh of game servers doent work.
anyone know a fix for this?

sb128 (ct4700) + win2k => midi sounds weird

Is it better to leave the computer on or off?

I play cs all the time with no trouble. Sounds like your cd key is bad or entered incorrectly since it uses won authentication.Try reinstalling is my only guess.

I've had that problem when I had my firewall set to too high a level.
