My current installation of Winnt 4.0 for Workstation does not detect my CD Rom Drive. NTDETECT does not attempt to load CDROM.SYS. It is detected by the BIOS and works fine in Win95 (As this is a dual boot PC). It is also detected if I boot from the Winnt Setup CD. I have reinstalled CDROM.SYS from the CD but it still will not work. It works fine on Winnt 4.0 PC's at work. I have also tried reapplying Service pack 5 - this I know updates the driver in question and NTDETECT.COM
I tried reserving IRQ15 in the BIOS (This is the interrupt it is using in Win95). It is seen on my Workstation under Scsi Adapters which reports the device is working properly but the driver is not loaded. I have also installed the correct driver for the 2 IDE Controllers (Which replaced the standard ATAPI Driver)

My Pc is a HP Vectra 6 series 8, CDRom LG 8484B Drive.
