CD-ROM performance

This is a discussion about CD-ROM performance in the Windows Hardware category; ARG, Allof my CD drives seem to be lsow as heck in 2000, how can yo umake sure DMA is active on the CD drives? in Win95 and 98 it was simple, but I can;t find it in 2000, and if it is indeed off, how do I turn it on?

I also searched for that option and finally found it and it worked!
Click with right mouse button at my computer,
go to properties, hardware, device manager, go to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, and choose the properties of primary ide channel or secundary and here you can set UDMA to be used or PIO mode.

Thanks for the tip guys! I hadn't noticed a problem, but after checking found that I needed to change my settings.
