CD-Writer problems
This is a discussion about CD-Writer problems in the Windows Hardware category; Ok. . two problems here. . first. . i have an old Memorex crw-1622. . . ive tried different burning software packeges but it all has the same problem, which is: The program will freeze at random times untill i open the cd drive bay.
Ok..two problems here..first..i have an old Memorex crw-1622...ive tried different burning software packeges but it all has the same problem, which is: The program will freeze at random times untill i open the cd drive bay...it will then usualy not do anytihng else afterwards..the drive burned stuff fine under win98..i installed aspi drivers..and used a program to check and make sure they were all installed ok..
Second..i just got a HP CD-Writter Plus 8200e usb as a gift....i can get Win2k to detect it as a normal cdrom drive..but it wont detect its a cd burner...none of the software packages ive tried(nero,cdrwin, Adaptec Easy cd creator) will detect it as a cd-w drive.
The driver disk it comes with is useless..only for win98...
is there any way to fix either of these problems?
