Corrupted screen apon exit for UT or Q3A

This is a discussion about Corrupted screen apon exit for UT or Q3A in the Windows Games category; I have Voodoo3 I have not installed LW3 as I read somewhere on the forums it can cause trouble with Q3a. UT and Q3A run great! But when I exit them my desktop is corrupted. The only way to fix it is to restart.

I have tried the drivers at Win2kBox and Chameleons drivers both do the same thing. I swapped the ICD in both of them for the new one. (Note this didn't cause the problem).

If I use 3dfx official NT drivers and the new ICD there is no problems, but of course, no d3d with those ideas. Any ideas anyone?

BTW I search the forumns before I post questions. So no "your lazy search the forums" or smart arse responses please!

This is a lame workaround, but it does work. Before exiting the game, switch to 640x480. If I exit with the game in a higher resolution, I get what you described.

If someone has better fix, please post. This workaround is getting old.
