Well for starters they both are RAM hogs compared to either Media PLayer 6.4 or Winamp.

its been said that M$ will release WMP 8 after they release XP beta 2, and WMP 8 is a LOT better than 7 but i still like and use winamp.
Well Microsoft will not be releasing Window Media Player 8 for windows other than XP or later.

Skip MP7, go to Winamp. MP7 has caused some problems with Win2k...cant remember what though.
