Diamond Viper 770 Ultra TNT2 under Win2K using Detonator2 (5
This is a discussion about Diamond Viper 770 Ultra TNT2 under Win2K using Detonator2 (5 in the Windows Games category; When Win2K first came out, I went to nVidia's website to download the 3. 78 drivers. They work fine and are fast in every game I play. When I saw the Detonator 2 (5. 22) drivers were out, I downloaded them and tried them out.

Well, now when I play UT, the game seems to play in a Window rather than fill up the entire screen. If I change resolutions, the window the game plays in either gets bigger or smaller. When I say 'window', I mean you can still see the task bar at the bottom of the screen and at the upper left hand part of the screen you can see the title of the window says 'Unreal Tournament'. Also, the game runs a hell of a lot slower (not unplayable) using the Detonator2 (5.22) drivers and the graphics look horrible. Some games like Revolt, will not even run--I get a 'No Z buffer' error.
Anyone able to offer any advice? Thanks.

Go back to your old drivers
Or go to the latest:
5.32
Or, you could try and make sure that your monitor is not set to plug and play. Set it to the actual make and model of your monitor. (right click on desktop, propeties, advanced, monitor)
That might not work but I have known strange problems with monitors set to plug and play.
good luck
(i remember the same thing happening to me with q3 but i cant remember how I fixed it)
