DirectX and Win2k

This is a discussion about DirectX and Win2k in the Windows Games category; I have a question regarding win2k and directx. I know under win98, the suggestion was to reinstall directx whenever you modified drivers for your video card and/or sound card. Does this still apply to win2k? -Q.
