Directx Graphic Drivers

I've just bought a couple of games for my PC, but I am running Windows NT and these games required DirectX software to run them. Can anyone help, or am I pissing in the wind.
I've just bought a couple of games for my PC, but I am running Windows NT and these games required DirectX software to run them. I've read that there was a patch which allowed you to run the direct X software on Windows NT but, after trailing through other newsgroups on the subject I have yet to find any sign of this, hence the reason for me placing this query.
I do have a solution, but it involves reformating my harddisk, and
loading Windows 95 which does support the directx software.
