This is a discussion about directx7 in the Windows Games category; When I run dxdiag in win2k it says I have direct x7 already do I still need to install the ones that say directx7 final I see everywhere like at chameleons and seldzar. .

Only if you use RC2 aka Build 2128. All the other Builds (2183 and 2195) include the latest DirectX7 runtimes.
